이난주(b.1994)는 ‘번역하기’라는 태도를 바탕으로 주변과 관계를 맺으며, 번역의 개념과 실천의 확장 가능성을 탐구한다. 최근 작업에서는 사진과 회화의 경계를 가로지르는 매체 간 번역 과정을 실험하며, 이미지의 변환과 재구성을 시도하고 있다. 2025년, 영국 글래스고에서 한국으로 거처를 옮겨 작업을 이어나가고 있으며, 주요 전시로는 이인전 《Round Song》(2024, South Block Gallery), 단체전 《Night Shift》(2024, New Glasgow Society), 《The Biscuit Tint 2022》(2022, Embassy Gallery), 《The Waves From Different Altitudes》(2022, Gallerie Gatchie) 등이 있다. 번역가 Kate Briggs와 Laura Haynes가 기획한 출간물 〈A Social Process of Unknowing Yourself in Real Time〉에 짧은 글을 기고했으며, 해당 출간물은 2025년 발행되었다.
